In 1998, the Sánchez Vizcaíno family decided to take up a special challenge: To build the first organic wine cellar of Almería and its surroundings. Built 1000 meters above sea-level in Andalucía, thus classified into the cellars that practice the exclusive high-altitude viticulture. Thanks to this location, the “Cortijo el Cura” stopover, included in the 2025 España Discovery guide, received the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Laujar-Alpujarra.
