First stage:
Besalú. Parking and overnight in the motorhome and vans service área

Besalú is a medieval town, it is located at the crossroads of three districts:
Alt Empordà, Pla de l'Estany and La Garrotxa. The origin of the city was the castle of Besalú, built on top of a hill where there are the archeological remains of the canonical Santa María. The
bridge is impressive and photogenic. Walk by the
Jewish Quarter. Have a dinner in the old town, desserts accompanied by delicious Ratafia.

Second stage: Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of Garrotxa. Located in the eastern Pyrenees, in the region of
La Garrotxa in the province of
Girona. It is the best example of volcanic landscape of the Iberian Peninsula. It has 40 volcanic cones, 10 craters, 23 highly conserved cones and more than 20 basaltic lava flows. Parking on the spot:
GPS 42°09'17 "N, 2°30'59" E. The volcanic area of
La Garrotxa has been declared
Natural Park, which enhances its conservation. We do not recommend overnight in the Natural Park!

GPS 42°18'44 "N, 2°21'47"E. Visit to the old town; bars, restaurants, souvenirs and traditional food shops. Spend the afternoon on a terrace enjoying the enviroment and have a few craft beers in the Bar Casal Camprodón.
Fourth stage: Head towards the mountain, go to

La Cabanya- will offer you an amazing gastronomy experience through the traditional and homemade cuisine of the region. Products from the

Setcases and llonganisseta, wild boar to sherry-like wine, stews of veal from Girona with mushrooms, pork feet in the style of
La Cabanya, wild trout, etc. Enjoy the meal and spend the night on the spot.
Next stage: Garriguella, in
Alt Empordà, Girona. In this spot it is possible to choose between two points to spend the night.
