One of the most expected events of the wine world was took place in the first week of February in Barcelona. The “Barcelona Wine Week” reunited the most well-regarded wine makers of Spain and thousands of participants from all over Europe, China, South-east Asia, the US and iberoamerica.
In its 3rd edition, the BWW gave the opportunity to over 800 wine cellars spread all over the country to show their products. For this, they had over 1300 national buyers, over 600 international buyers, and invited over 20.000 professionals of the wine sector as guests, breaking records compared to earlier years.
Besides celebrating goals met and planning strategies to respond to the needs and challenges of rural areas, the biggest producers of wine, guests enjoyed an extensive tasting of unique brands (belonging to both artisan run cellars and big name brands), sharing the gastronomic stories that founded their businesses, pondering about wine tendencies and navigating a sea of premium wine strains of diverse tones.
España Discovery team paid a visit as a guest with the aim to reinforce strategic communication ties in the tourism industry. The encounter was used to share experiences and bettering strategies related to high quality enotourism aboard motorhomes and campervans from Spain and the rest of Europe.
On top of the pleasure of seeing friends and current hosts of the España Discovery scheme, the publishers got a chance of contacting and promoting the guide among other interesting potential hosts that could join the España Discovery network in the 2024 edition. The guide is published yearly on the final months of every year, translated to 5 languages and distributed in over 13 countries in Europe.
