3 Regions of Spain that you have to visit

Spain is a country of diverse natural treasures, a cuisine that is recognized world-wide, and hundreds of places for tourism (be it adventure tourism, sustainable oenotourism, etc…). Its 17 autonomous communities are the ideal scenario for travellers who look to discover authentic village experiences, learning about their traditions, meeting knew people and tasting the best local products. We invite you to prepare your motorhomes and campervans and head towards 3 of them!

Catalunya: This region, situated in the north-eastern corner of the Iberian Peninsula and which borders France and Andorra, has many interesting attributes in each of its provinces: Barecelona, Lérida, Gerona and Tarragona. Mountains, rivers, forests, beaches, caves and valleys dot its landscape, and here you can find farms, fincas, oil mills, cellars, restaurants, natural parks, and you can buy and taste wine, cider, cheese, extra virgen olive oil, mushrooms, delicious dishes and much more.

Comunidad Valenciana: In the east end of the peninsula, you will enjoy the places found in the sunny provinces of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia. Just like in Catalunya, here you can find projects linked to oenotourism (thanks to the favourable climatic conditions and soil composition) as well as cellars. It also has oil mills, restaurants, a historical vehicle museum, organic farms, cheesemakers, shops and more. Don’t forget to enjoy the delightful beaches and natural parks.

Castilla y Leon: In the north of “la meseta” of the Iberian Peninsula you can find the largest autonomous community of Spain, which has nine provinces: Ávila, Burgos, León, Soria, Salamanca, Palencia, Segovia, Valladolid and Zamora. Within it you’ll find Ribera del Duero, a county where fantastic wines and varied products of immeasurable quality are elaborated. Not to mention, simply outstanding vistas.

These and many other autonomous communities of Spain you’ll be able to explore aboard your motorhomes, enjoy a very pleasant stay far from conventional camping sites. Each stopover has activities linked to your interests to take part of alongside friendly hosts who will be waiting for you to teach you about their labour. All you need is to select the stopovers that you think are most attractive -in your motorhome tourism guide España Discovery 2023-, then visit them during holiday season or whenever you want and buy the products that caught your eye (only if you want, of course) for yourself, for your friends and family members.

Remember that you can park for up to 24 hours in the facilities of our guide’s hosts in each autonomous community. Besides, using the QR code of the stopover you choose -included in your up-to-date España Discovery guide- you can access its location and contact the hosts directly to announce your arrival. Always show your copy of the up-to-date España Discovery guide to your host, it is your ID and passport for this system, and always remember to, -please- follow the GOLDEN RULES.
