If you are passionate about travelling and getting to know places to have a good time alongside family and friends, Spain is doubtlessly your ideal destination. It is a land with much to offer and every year it delights both local and international tourists with its diverse landscapes, historical townships with a long heritage, amazing flora and fauna, paradisiacal beaches, uncountable natural parks and, of course, a delicious cuisine that has earned worldwide recognition. Today we invite you to take a trip to the Valencian region and get to know these 4 unmissable destinations.

The Comunidad Valenciana has attractions of all kinds. It is undoubtedly a fashionable destination, every year thousands of tourists from diverse nationalities prefer its capital city, Valencia, as a destination to spend a dreamlike stay. Nonetheless, the periphery of the city keeps certain secrets, which we will reveal in this blog post. Take note and prepare your luggage and your campervan!

1) Valencia: The most important urban area in the region. This city is notable at a global stage and is well known for having the riverbed of the old Turia River as the city’s spinal cord, an extensive park that crosses the city from one end to the other, often called the “green lung” of the city. If you mean to stop in Valencia we recommend visiting the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (The City of the art and science), in which you can take wonderful photos, as well as the Malvarrosa Beach, the Torres de Serrano and the Central Market. Besides, you’ll find several camping sites (enabled for both Motorhomes and Campers), hotels and other places to stay the night.

2) Natural Park of La Albufera: Very close to Valencia you can find the Natural Park of La Albufera, a gigantic coastal lagoon once called the “sun’s mirror” in arabian poems. In this place you can enjoy the spectacle that is its diverse types of birds, eat a traditional paella, relax while you see the sunset and enjoy the Saler beach that is right next to it.

3) Requena-Utiel county: West of Valencia you can find the towns of Requena and Utiel, two townships located on top of a mesa that offers incredible natural landscapes and are perfect to take part in outdoor sports. Besides, in the region you’ll find notable local projects dedicated to agrotourism and wine culture with a historic trajectory.  Don’t forget to join in the Route of Wine and to taste a few bottles of PDO Utiel-Requena.

4) Alicante: Another of the more important cities of the region. Its beaches are accompanied by the imposing Mount Benacantil, atop of which you’ll be able to have a gorgeous view of the entire coastline. We recommend visiting the San Nicolas Co-cathedral, the Central Market and the Valley of Guadalest, alongside the medieval town of the same name. This last one is part of the favourite natural landscape of tourists that come to visit Alincate, mostly due to the rugged topography that offers beautiful vistas and tranquil mountain paths.
