If you are one of those who love exploration and enjoy getting to know new cities and towns like no one else, Galicia holds several surprises for you. Today we will tell you in full detail what you can do in the Islas Atlanticas de Galicia National Park, a protected natural reserve that receives tourists from all over the world every year. Pack up your bags, fill up your motorhome or campervan’s tanks and get ready for the adventure.
The Islas Atlánticas de Galicia National Park is located in front of the beautiful city of Vigo. It comprises the islands of Ons, Cíes, Cortegada and Sálvora, with over 1000 hectares total to discover and enjoy. Remember that to visit the islands you have to plan your trip with time and reserve it beforehand via the Junta de Galicia website, an organism dedicated to accredit tourism in this area. This procedure is necessary if you want to visit the islands of Ons and Cíes. Access the reservation system on the Junta de Galicia website HERE.
We speak of a sea and land territory, with a plethora of paths to peruse and perambulate, cliffs to admire, dreamlike beaches to swim and much more.
If you are a fan of water sports, in this park you can take part in some of them, such as diving, snorkelling, kayak and paragliding. All of it should be done with previous authorization to avoid setbacks, of course. Besides, we recommend searching for guided tours with experts so you can learn the history of the islands and visit the rock carvings of the island of Ons to get to know about the happenings of the Bronze Age.
So as soon as possible, prepare all you need and make your way to this place in Spain that will leave you breathless.
