The history of this oenotourism destination included in the 2023 España Discovery guide starts in 2005 thanks to Sergio Labata, an agricultural engineer and oenologist who after working in several fincas of Spain and the world started his own wine cellar to represent the experience and tradition of a surname with over five centuries of history in the region. The wines of Bodegas allodia are elaborated with a base of native grapes that belong to the PDO Somontano. Would you like to taste a bottle of native varieties Alcañon, Parraleta or Moristel alongside a delicious boar curry?
At the feet of the Pyrenees mountain range, situated in the Somontano wine route, in the county of the same name. This region, home to Bodegas Alodia, encompasses thousands of hectares dedicated to the growth of the vineyard thanks to its climatic conditions and privileged soil, in between valleys and hills of great beauty. Somontano means “At the foot of the mountain” and it also stands as an important tourist destination that year after year receives travellers beyond counting who look for gratifying experiences far from conventional, mass tourism.
In Bodegas Alodia you can visit the restaurant and taste their traditional cuisine, where the standout dishes are elaborated with local products. Don’t miss out on eating here and meeting the kind hosts. And if you want to learn more about the vineyards and the elaboration process, contact Bea as soon as possible for a guided tour.
