Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Wine, and Nature. An Eco Stopover Among Millenary Olive Trees

In a quiet corner of inland Tarragona, surrounded by mountains, rural paths, and the sounds of nature, you will find Biopaumerà, a family-run estate dedicated to the ecological cultivation of vines and olive trees. The surroundings, dotted with dry-stone walls and centuries-old fields, preserve the charm of the traditional Mediterranean landscape. Here grow olive trees of the Farga and Arbequina varieties, some over a thousand years old, true agricultural treasures that continue to produce fruit generation after generation.

Ecological Extra Virgin Olive Oil with History

The extra virgin olive oil produced at this stopover is the result of an artisanal process that respects the natural rhythm of the olive tree. Local varieties such as Farga, Reguers (or Morruda), and Arbequina are cultivated, all certified organic. Each variety adds unique notes: Farga brings a balanced and robust personality, Arbequina contributes smoothness and fruity aromas, and Morruda adds slightly bitter hints that enhance the overall character.
The extra virgin olive oil is offered in several formats and references to suit different needs. From 500 ml bottles ideal for home use or gifts, to 2 and 5-liter containers for those who wish to enjoy pure oil throughout the year. Each bottle reflects the quality of the fruit and the careful work of the land: hand-harvested, cold-pressed, and free of chemical treatments. The result is an organic extra virgin olive oil with a rich, green flavor and a fresh almond note.

Wines with Mediterranean Identity

In addition to extra virgin olive oil, this stopover also produces organic wines under the Tarragona Designation of Origin, using Garnacha Tinta and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The vineyards cover about two hectares and are cultivated with the same care and sustainable principles as the olive trees. Production is limited, and each wine reflects the character of the environment: rocky soils, mild climate, and hands-on work throughout the winemaking process.

Some of the most notable wines include:

Blanc de Noirs, an organic white wine made from Garnacha Tinta and aged on lees.
Iuvenis, a young red made from Garnacha Tinta and Cabernet Sauvignon, fresh and fruity.
Solus, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, without added sulfites, with a more intense character.
Adrià, a red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Garnacha Tinta, aged in oak barrels.
Helga, an organic sparkling wine (blanc de noirs) made from Garnacha Tinta.
